It all started in the backyard of veteran athlete Olivier Bernhard who, wanting to renew his running experience, began experimenting by gluing pieces of watering rubber to the outsole of his prototype model, an innovation that was taken up in 2010 by Caspar Coppetti & David Allemann, officially founding On. Since then, in the On laboratories in Zurich, they have been constantly developing and improving through innovative experimentation in technologies that make runners feel like they are walking on clouds. On designs shoes in collaboration with top runners and Olympic gold medalists who know the demands of different road, trail and long-distance running routes better than anyone else and provide valuable input to On designers.
