The two announced Hilfiger's arrival in the spotlight with a major marketing campaign that included a bold billboard in New York's Times Square, which presented Hilfiger as the next big thing in American fashion. Since then, the well-known brand has been renowned for its high-quality products that offer comfort and elegance to its consumers worldwide under the Tommy Hilfiger and Tommy Jeans brands. In fact, the company took off in the 1990s, when hip hop culture adopted its oversized clothing, making it popular with rappers and celebrities. Snoop Dogg's choice to wear an oversized Tommy Hilfiger t-shirt during his appearance on Saturday Night Live in March 1994 sent sales soaring.
