About Polo Ralph Lauren

The Ralph Lauren Company, founded in 1967 by Ralph Lauren, is a leader in the fashion, marketing and creation of premium apparel, footwear and accessories. Lauren began his career creating men's ties and soon launched his first men's collection, Polo. In 1969, Bloomingdale's department stores began selling exclusively Polo Ralph Lauren products. Ralph Lauren became famous for T-shirts in 24 colors and cotton polo shirts. In 1978, the company launched its first fragrances. In 1981, Ralph Lauren expanded internationally with its first store in London and in 1986 opened its flagship store in New York. In 1997, the company went public on the New York Stock Exchange. In 2000, she launched her online store, which was relaunched in 2007 as ralphlauren.com. In 2015, Stefan Larsson took over as CEO, with Ralph Lauren remaining as executive chairman and chief creative officer.
